In this blog we’ll highlight two updates to stories from last year, and thank the Lord for His providence, and our donors for their generosity.
We’re happy to announce an update to our Share the Blessing campaign. Our Kenya Land Purchase is now fully funded!
Our Kenya pastors are very excited about the prospect of new land on which to build a new church. Space comes at a premium in Kagio, where the buildings are practically touching. The new land will be used to build a church where our Kenyan pastors plan to hold gatherings of all the local pastors, as well as the Winebrenner Graduation Ceremony for the graduates.
Kenya Pastors (L to R) Robert, Francis, and Paul
A number of our CGGC pastors from the US have gone to visit Kenya, some even providing the instruction for the Winebrenner courses, and as we write this, another team is preparing to go. All of this amounts to a real investment in Kenya for the kingdom, and we pray that the Lord continues to manifests a great work in Kenya.
We want to thank all of our donors and supporters for their generous gifts. Whenever we bring an important mission to our churches, they never fail to provide, and we count this as one of our greatest blessings.
We still have three Share the Blessing opportunities which have not met their goal yet. If you missed out giving to the Kenya Land Purchase, please consider:

As a follow up to another story from 2025, Stone Table Church, what we affectionately called the “Youngest Church in the CGGC” back in October 2025, is having their first traditional Sunday service this weekend, Sunday January 11th, 2026.
Stone Table Church has made it their mission to preach the Gospel to the people of Kenton, Ohio. Last year, we told the story of how the partnership between the Great Lakes Conference and Kenton leadership was spurred on by a chance meeting at a coffee shop. The relationship between St. John’s church in Kenton, and Stone Table continues to blossom.

We’d ask for all our readers to be in prayer for the success of Stone Table Church; that they would tenaciously go after the mission God has placed on their heart, and that the community of Kenton would respond.

We know that Hardin County, where Kenton is situated, has many struggles as a somewhat depressed community economically. Kenton also suffers from a difficult drug/opioid problem involving fentanyl, which thankfully has seen a decrease in overdoses in 2025, but which remains troubling for the community.
Likewise, be in prayer that God would place a dedicated pastor at Kenton. Currently a job application is up on our website for Stone Table. Find that full post here: https://cggc.org/about-us/job-postings/
In the run up to their first Sunday service, Stone Table has done community outreach events and worship services, like their quite successful Trunk or Treat event, which saw thousands of people from the community stop by, to their Christmas worship service in late December.
