Culture Summit 2022: Signs of Life

08Apr

Over the years, I’ve been able to be a part of several conference or learning experiences. Some of these experiences have been incredibly beneficial while others have been less helpful. I’m a big believer in life-long learning and I believe that conferences can be helpful in stretching our thinking and expanding our understanding in helpful and productive ways. None of us are experts anymore! We all need to be learning as we strive to live out a faithful witness to the reality of Jesus and His kingdom.

Over the past ten years or so, I’ve found one conference that has really helped me think well about the challenges facing the church in ways that have placed it in a class by itself. Over the years, the folks at Q (no affiliation to QAnon) have helped me think about the challenges that we’re presently facing in our culture as well as those challenges appearing on the horizon. I’ve shared about Q here before (www.qideas.org) and over the years we’ve offered different opportunities to engage such as when Winebrenner Seminary hosted the Q Commons.

At the end of April (28th and 29th), Q is hosting the Culture Summit in Nashville, TN. It will be two jammed-packed days of content all designed to help Christian leaders navigate the ever-changing terrain of our culture in a posture than stays committed to Biblical truth while engaging our culture in helpful and winsome ways. You can learn more about the conference, speakers and themes at https://conference.qideas.org/.

I’m excited to share that through a partnership with our friends at Q, we are able to offer all pastors in the CGGC a free digital pass to this year’s Culture Summit! That’s right, I said FREE! You’ll be able to watch the live stream of the conference on the 28th and 29th and you’ll have access to the content for an additional 30 days after the conference. I want to encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity. You’ll be stretched, challenged and equipped to lead more effectively as you offer a more credible witness to the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Watch for an email in the next week which will have more details on how to take advantage of this great opportunity.

If we’ve learned anything over the past two years, it’s this: the times we live in are getting more challenging to navigate. The issues we’re having to face are getting more difficult, not less difficult. Yet, in the midst of it all, we have enormous opportunities to demonstrate and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.

I’d encourage you to take a moment to watch the video below as Gabe Lyons shares about this year’s Culture Summit.

Christ’s Peace,
Lance
