Share the Blessing 2023

Global Reach Share the Blessing

Some of the most exciting and vibrant ministry in the Churches of God is happening through the ministry of Global Reach. Throughout the world and to the very ends of the earth, the Good News of Jesus is being demonstrated and proclaimed through the ministry of Global Reach. This year, we’ve identified three special projects for your prayerful consideration as you make end-of-the-year giving decisions. Few of us would be able to accomplish these projects on our own, but we can accomplish the goal when we partner together with one another!

Share the Blessing #1

GR 2705 - Life-Tranforming Medical Equipment (Bangladesh Phaco Machine)

This machine, known as a Phaco (phacoemulsification) Machine, is an essential piece of medical equipment at our Khanjanpur Health & Eye Clinic in Bangladesh. It has recently fallen into disrepair and an immediate replacement is necessary. Without this machine, the healing time for cataract surgery can be between 3 to 4 weeks, which leaves some patients out of work for a month. This is something most cannot afford, and that means they go untreated. With this machine, patients often return to work within 3 to 4 days. Dr. John Costa, the field director of our Mission in Bangladesh and doctor at the eye clinic, estimates that approximately 60% of the revenue made by the clinic is generated by this single machine. A new machine not only helps more patients but also helps our medical work become self-sustaining and financially stable. Our goal is to raise $23,000 to help secure a new Phaco machine.

Share the Blessing #2

GR 2117 - Van for Gamerco/Southwest

The Southwest, including Hooghan Nizhoni Church and Gamerco Church have rapidly become the place where a majority of our mission trips happen. Their ease of access within the United States combined with the great need makes the Southwest U.S. an ideal place for short term mission trips. The church van is an essential part of the ministry there. It is used for the local ministry to provide transportation for the children and youth of the community as well as transport the many short-term mission teams that partner with the ministry there. The current van is 20 years old and is approaching 200,000 miles and coming to the end of its use. A new 12-15 passenger van is needed to continue the good work that is being done in the Southwest. Our goal is $45,000 to help provide a new van so the ministry in the Southwest can continue to grow and flourish.

Share the Blessing #3

GR 2851 - Construction of Two Church Buildings in Nicaragua.

Our Nicaraguan Conference needs funds to complete construction and legal registration of two church buildings. This will help cover final costs of legal deeds and registration, materials and construction, and main systems in the offices. The goal for this special project is $5,000. That amount won’t get you very far when it comes to construction in the U.S., but in Nicaragua, two church buildings can be completed! This will help these congregations continue to make disciples and reach their communities with the Good News of Jesus.

As you consider your end of year giving, please prayerfully consider a gift to bless the ministry in Bangladesh, the Southwest U.S. and Nicaragua! Your generosity is an encouragement to our brothers and sisters around the globe.
