Triennial Conference Recap: 3 Awesome Videos to Watch

24Jul

Our Triennial Conference may be over, but the content keeps rolling. We've been making and uploading videos from throughout the week, even the pre-events, and we think you'll be blessed to join in the celebration digitally.

Not only have we made our Bicentennial film available for free right here: Watch Now!

But we’re also uploading short clips which you may want to share with your church, friends, and audiences. We’re excited about the Bicentennial and the power it has to help us appreciate the history of the CGGC, and inspire future ministry. Watch this short clip below featuring Pastor Don Dennison and Pastor Rob Guy Jr., who speak about our mission work, and the outsized kingdom impact the Lord has spurred along. We couldn't be more encouraged by the work of our missionaries and international field leaders who are healing the sick, teaching children, relieving the poor, and spreading the message of Jesus Christ.

We know that not everyone could come to conference, that’s why we livestreamed the entire event. But for those who aren’t interested in the business session, or the excellent worship time, you can watch all three keynotes, separated and with the slides made available in the video to follow along.

Pastor Matt Lake provided 3 truly excellent keynote sessions that helped our leaders think practically about how ministry can look more incarnational. We believe that these sessions will be useful to our churches if they choose to engage them. Pastor Matt gives advice and examples of the ways ministry can be expressed in the community in fresh ways and church leaders, including pastors, elders, deacons, and more, would be wise to utilize these resources. We'd strongly suggest churches gather their leaders together to work through this content for vision and mission planning. If you’re just after Pastor Matt’s slides, he’s been kind enough to provide them all. Download them here:

If you missed the festivities of the Triennial, you can watch or listen to the entire Peace Church Hymn Sing below. Pastor Edward Rosenberry and Pastor David Welker helped lead a song service that “reflect[ed] the broader context of American Protestant Christianity over the past two centuries”. Organist and Keyboard player H. Timothy Koch, and song leader Pastor David Welker lead an hour-long song service that was simply beautiful. The service took place in the middle of a thunderstorm, and you can hear a little bit of the wind in the microphone blowing in occasionally, but it was a perfect mood setter. The Peace Church Hymn Sing was perhaps the real highlight of the week. Stay tuned into our channels here, on YouTube (subscribe) and Facebook for more videos, pictures, and stories coming out of Triennial Conference and our Bicentennial!
