Don't Miss Giving Tuesday!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have had a blessed time with family and friends and ample opportunity to express thanks to our Heavenly Father over this past week. It’s been good to spend some time reflecting and offering thanks to the Father for the blessings of this past year.

Just a quick reminder to be on the lookout for emails and social media posts concerning Giving Tuesday this coming Tuesday, November 30^th. This year the funds given to the CGGC on Giving Tuesday will go to support the work of our Global Reach field leaders around the world. Over the years, our Global Reach ministries have continued to evolve with fewer U.S. missionaries and more leadership coming from indigenous leaders in the countries where we serve. This is ultimately a good thing as the goal is always to raise up and disciple leaders from the grassroots level.

I’m frequently asked to share about the bright spots across the Churches of God, General Conference or to give testimony as to where the most exciting work is taking place across our body. Often, the places where we see God at work most dramatically are locations outside the United States through the work of Global Reach and particularly through the work of our field leaders. These brothers and sisters are giving vital leadership to the ministry that is taking place throughout the world, often in challenging circumstances that are less than ideal. Their deep faith, devotion and love for Christ and their commitment to obediently demonstrate and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in their own countries is inspiring and helps to transform peoples’ lives. We have the privilege to partner with these brothers and sisters as they help advance the work of the kingdom of God. Your partnership and support are an encouragement to them and helps provide critical resources needed to ensure that the ministry continues to thrive and grow!

I know you’ll have no lack of opportunities and worthy causes to support next Tuesday, but I want to encourage you to take part in Giving Tuesday and help support the work that God is doing in Asia, Africa, Haiti, South America and Latin America through the work of Global Reach and our field leaders.
