Join the Young Adult Fellowship

30Oct

Are you a recently turned 18-year-old who has a heart for God? Are you searching for your calling and path?

Are you 30 or near, wondering at what more God has in store for your life?

Are you anywhere between, worried everyone else has it figured out, searching for others to walk alongside?

If you’re 18 or 30 or anywhere in between, we invite you to join the Young Adult Fellowship, a place for Faith, Calling, and Community.

Winebrenner Theological Seminary, in partnership with the CGGC, will be launching a new community of young believers who are working out their calling. WTS describes the Young Adult Fellowship this way:

“Young adults benefit from opportunities to explore important questions of life and faith alongside others who are willing to listen, encourage, and walk with them. Rather than approaching young adults primarily as future church leaders or potential seminary students, we want to recognize them as people in whom God is already at work.”

The YA Fellowship will be hosted primarily online through video calls with the first opportunity on November 10th from 8:00 – 9:00 P.M.

The online gathering will include fellowship, prayer, discussion, and teaching on various topics, including but not limited to: emotional intelligence, APEST, StrengthsFinder, spiritual gifts, and prayer.

For many, 18-30 is a difficult time of trial, testing, and sometimes failing. That has probably always been the case, but our modern context also means that early adulthood has become a lonelier and more isolating experience. Many young people lack relationships and community which might support such a time. That’s where the Young Adult Fellowship comes in.

Whether your just starting college or near finishing, taking a gap year or considering post graduate work, working a trade or holding down multiple part-time jobs, or if you just want to explore where God is calling you, the Young Adult Fellowship is here for you!

The aim is for future meetings to be held on the second Tuesday of the month for December, February, and April, with a physical retreat from June 4-6, 2027. (Participants do not need to attend the retreat to participate in the semi-monthly gatherings.)

Of the fellowship, WTS says that,

“We don’t presume to know everything God will do through this experience. In fact, part of the opportunity is remaining open to what we may discover along the way. Our hope is that participants will grow in faith, develop meaningful relationships, gain greater clarity about their calling, and discover new opportunities to serve God in the world.”
