The birth of Christ is not just the birth of our savior, nor just the birth of our faith. The birth of Christ into this world is also the moment when the promise of Israel as a blessing to the nations truly manifested. Jesus’s commands to “go”, and his repeated instruction, sending his disciples on mission, set the foundation for the missional posture of Christianity.
For that reason, Advent is an excellent time to think deeply about what it means to be missional. Churches do this naturally, as the Christmas season is an opportunity for generosity; to give back to our communities, to bless others with excess funds, and to send anonymous gifts.
During this Advent season, we encourage you to prayerfully consider our missions; how to sustain them, and how to get involved yourself. Right now, you can help sustain our missions through our Share the Blessing campaign, and you can get involved in missions through our ACTS Team trips, registrations now open!

You and your church can help our international missions grow and flourish through our targeted Share the Blessing Campaign, where we’ve selected 4 important projects around the world to invest in. These campaigns are ongoing, and you can find our updated giving percentages at the bottom.

We’re happy to announce that our ACTS Team registration for the 2026 season is now LIVE. Please begin prayerfully considering if the Lord is calling you to a life changing service experience.
Advancing Christ Through Service is an opportunity to experience another culture, fellowship with other believers, and serve them through labor, ministry, VBS support, or other service projects. In truth, our ACTS Team participants often find that by serving people around the world, they are served in equal measure.
You’ll experience the radical hospitality of people who often have substantially less than we do in the United States, but whose generosity and kindness overflow. Our brothers and sisters in countries like Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Bangladesh are simply overjoyed to have fellow believers to speak and engage with. For our people in the developing world, the thought that we might come so far to meet them engenders immense gratitude and love. And you’ll feel it right away.
Eager to know more about what an ACTS Team is like? We have a sample itinerary already up for our USA Southwest/Navajo trip which gives you a feeling for what you’ll be doing day to day (subject to change, of course!). Navajo Sample itinerary
We’ve debriefed our previous ACTS Teams through articles and blogs, but here’s a snap shot of how these experiences have changed lives and shifted perspectives.
“The lasting impacts are the relationships that have developed and increased commitment of team members as they return to their congregations. We have seen team members enter ministry.” – Kendall Hughes, WRC Director
“There’s just something extraordinary about standing on foreign soil and worshipping Jesus in another culture! Getting myself and 3 of my 4 kids out of our comfort zones to experience the global family of God was invaluable and I truly believe the ripple effects of those trips on our lives are endless!” – Jenn Schlumbohm, Multimedia Coordinator for Global Reach
“Anytime we make a connection, whether within the CGGC, or some other people in the ministry fields, it’s a growth, we become more efficient when we are together. The connections with the ACTS Team, it does help a lot.” – Victor Montalvo, Latino Ministries Director
