The deadline for ACTS Team registration has been moved to April 1st, 2025, and that’s no joke!
Our ACTS Teams are in jeopardy of being cancelled this year due to a lack of registrations. We’ve moved the date because we urgently need you (yes you!) to sign up for an ACTS Team. We don’t have enough people in all our ACTS Teams to see them through and we really dislike the idea of cancelling them.
Please, consider registering for one of our ACTS Teams trips, and tell your friends, neighbors, and the person who sits next to you in Church.
The truth is, these ACTS Teams can be profound religious experiences for people. The relationships and experiences people make on ACTS Teams can deepen their faith and widen their understanding of who God is.
You can also make connections that will last a lifetime.
First, ACTS Team members find their faith powerfully reinforced and deepened by meeting believers from across the globe. It’s a humbling experience to see faithful believers who have materially much less than you. Different forms and styles of worship, prayer, and fellowship help Americans understand that God’s people are truly global and historic. God’s people have been worshipping and gathering long before our modern forms of worship were established.
Second, the brothers and sisters who host our ACTS Teams are thrilled, overjoyed, and elated to meet Christians from the US. To know that we are praying for them and worshiping alongside them brings comfort and encouragement that we simply do not understand. In some countries, like in Mexico, their faith is buoyed by our presence and fellowship. They very idea of our communion is uplifting when they are in seasons of greatest need.
Lastly, the shared, inter-team experience of an ACTS Team trip can spark a connection that goes well beyond the trip. This inter-team dynamic can foster friendships that last a lifetime. Some ACTS Team members have even married and gone into ministry together. That’s the life changing power that God, working through an ACTS Team, can have on people’s lives.
So here is our plea, if you’re a pastor, please ask your congregation to consider going on an ACTS Team trip this year. Below we have a PowerPoint slides (and an image file) you can put directly into your morning announcements.
