We have 4 ACTS Teams in preparation this year. Teams will travel all over the world, from right here in the United States with places like New Mexico and California, to our local neighbors like the Dominican Republic, and across the oceans to South Central Asia.
But, we’re here asking for your help. Two of our ACTS Teams are in danger of having insufficient numbers to make the team viable. Our Southern California trip and our Dominican Republic trip both need more people to sign up, and soon!
Will you prayerfully consider if God is calling you on a service trip to Southern California or the Dominican Republic? Can you share the word to others who might benefit from an incredible experience to serve our brothers and sisters in Christ?

Southern California ACTS Team – Jun 8th – 15th
On our Southern California ACTS Team trip, members will visit our Latino churches in San Diego and Fallbrook, learn about their history, help feed the homeless, do evangelism on a college campus and throughout the community, help produce an outreach event, and of course, hit the beach!
A SoCal ACTS Team Working Itinerary (subject to change)
June 8-Monday— Travel/arrive. Possible beach time, etc.
June 9-Tuesday—Visit Fallbrook, hear about the history of the church in the area, have breakfast and lunch there, then travel back to San Diego. Visit SD church and learn about the church and church’s history.
June 10 & 12-Wednesday and Friday—VBS @ Fallbrook all day, ending with church service. Kids 5-11 years. Possibly a teen Bible study too.
June 11-Thursday—In San Diego. Intention to volunteer at a local community place feeding homeless, possible evangelism on a local college campus through the connections of the church youth.
June 13-Saturday—Outreach event, “Day at the Bay” with both churches. Food/games, evangelism and worship.
June 14-Sunday—Breakfast/walking around in “Old Town” area with haciendas near church. Church service at 2:30. Outdoor movie night with bonfire.
June 15-Monday—Breakfast and return travel.
It’s been nearly a decade since we’ve done a Southern California ACTS Team trip, and our SoCal leaders are excited at the prospect. The thought that we might not have enough people to go is a little heartbreaking. If you’re on the fence, please consider going on this trip.
Dominican Republic ACTS Team – July 8th – 15th
For the last few years, we’ve sent teams to the Dominican Republic where they are able to visit every church that’s part of the CGGC. Our DR Churches are vibrant and welcoming spaces where God is at work. Listen to Missy LaRocco explain her experience visiting our churches last year.
Regardless of where you choose to go, whether on these trips, our other ACTS Teams to New Mexico (Navajo) or South Central Asia, or even to a service project of your own choosing, the reality is, serving other people is one of the keyways to come to know the Lord. Through loving other people, we follow the commands of Christ, and know Him more.
